guruGuru studio, the award winning and internationally renowned animation facility in Toronto is looking for an Assistant Leica Editor to work with the Senior Editor on Leica’s, assemblies and other editing as required.

Responsibilities:
Assist Sr. Editor with day-to-day editing/post production duties

Assist with Leica Edit (organization of panels / materials, leica assembly, track and insert revisions and pickups, general outputs as needed)
Compile, maintain and distribute continuity and integrity issues list; dealing in multiple timelines
Assist in effectively organizing and storing digital and photographic elements
Set up dailies and assist with screenings
Edit multiple types of animated sequences
Carry out general Assistant Editor tasks, as directed by Senior Editor

Qualifications:
Understanding of leica and animated production workflow
Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Final Cut
Strong organizational skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks
Strong communication and timeline management skills
Able to take direction and implement
Able to work independently
Knowledge of Photoshop / After Effects is ideal
