Our award winning and internationally renowned Toronto animated entertainment company is looking for an FX Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Seeks out efficient ways to work
- Develops reusable FX assets and workflows
- Integrates FX assets in pipeline
- Identifies new technologies to optimize production
- Identifies and breakdowns FX shots based on leica
- Assigns tasks, reviews shots and gives feedback to FX team
- Prepares review material for Director
- Ensures deadlines are met
- Communicates risks and challenges to Production
- May be required to complete shot work
- A good sense of timing in animation for FX
- Mentors team
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of as FX lead or Supervisor in television or film with demonstrated leadership qualities
- Experience developing a new pipeline
- In depth knowledge of Maya Dynamics and rigging tools, Houdini or FumeFX
- In depth knowledge of rendering and compositing strategies with Mental Ray, Vray and Nuke
