Pipeline is looking for skilled and passionate Matte Painters to join its growing team.

Pipeline has produced some of the most exciting CG, 2D and custom hybrid digital productions coming out of Canada in the last several years. Along with developing our own IP for global distribution, our current clients include: NBC/Universal, Disney XD, Discovery Nickelodeon and Nelvana.

Responsibilities
- Advanced matte painting techniques that integrate seamlessly with the show by using rendered CG elements and other digital materials
- Work closely with the art director and design team to deliver high quality on schedule
- Adapt to different styles and design of the show
- Excellent knowledge and abilities to work with Photoshop and Maya
- Working knowledge of the basic principles of 3D texture projections in Maya
Qualifications
- Experience with Maya, Photoshop, Mental Ray
- Familiarity with construction of simple shader networks
- Strong artistic eye for detail with the ability to follow reference material and concept art
- Detail oriented and highly organized
- Knowledge of compositing software, such as Nuke, is an asset
- Ability to organize, prioritize and follow through in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude, with the ability to work within tight deadlines
- Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation, art or film school desired
- Be pro-active and solution-orientated
