Snowball Studios Toronto is looking for an Intermediate FX Artist to work with the production team and animators to create effects and animations for our current production.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the asset TD to create FX such as dirt, splashes, waves etc. to shot using Maya and Houdini
- Complete assigns tasks on schedule, ensuring deadlines are met
- Communicates risks and challenges to supervisors
- Create FX with a sense of timing for animation
- Work closely with asset team to generate solutions
- Strong communication skills to work creatively and efficiently with a team of artists in various time zones
Qualifications:
- 3+ years as an FX artist in television or film
- In depth knowledge of Maya Dynamics, Houdini, Nuke or Fume FX
- In depth knowledge of rendering and compositing strategies with Mental Ray, Vray (proficiency with Nuke and NParticles an asset)
