2D Animation Instructor

$30 – $35 an hour – Full-time, Part-time, Contract

We currently offer programs in healthcare, business, legal studies, social media, 2D animation, web design and computer technology. We have immediate full and part-time career opportunities for 2D Animation Instructors to join our dynamic team of instructors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create an environment of learning through effective teaching skills, maintain student-centered focus, and update curriculum to keep current and relevant to industry standards.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and encourage active learning.
- Create learning activities, including assignments, tests, quizzes and labs, and assess student outcomes in a timely manner through effective assessment and feedback practices
- Must be driven and desire to help students become the best in this field.
- Full-time instructors will be required to do 20 hours of in-class work per week and be available for some added time outside hours.

- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms
- Ability to interact with students and staff at all levels in a fast-paced environment
Education and/or Experience:
- The ideal candidate must have a minimum of four (4) years related and verifiable work experience of Toon Boon Harmony experience.
- This program is all software. It would be an asset if the candidate has knowledge of “character rigging” as well in Harmony.
- The tools of the trade are Toon Boom Harmony 15 and Toon Boom Story Board Pro. Strong animation skills on top animation projects with this software are essential. Knowledge of basic to advance character rigging is preferred.
