New Realm Studios Inc. is seeking 3D Animators to join our production team. The ideal candidate must have a strong working knowledge of Autodesk Maya, be able to produce a mixture of hand animated and motion capture based 3D animations, and work under the guidance of Director and VFX Supervisor for our animated docudrama series.
Requirements:
- Work from storyboard/animatic to create animation sequences as assigned by the director
- Complete assigned animation within scheduled time frame
- Block movements in rough animation, refine and polish to completion in final animation
- Based on the production schedule and resources available, ensure and maintain the quality, style and continuity of your animation
- Keep current on animation techniques and technology
- Carry out duties in a professional and positive manner
- Be a positive and creative force on the team
Qualifications and Skills
- 3+ years of experience in animation industry is preferred
- Solid proficiency in Autodesk Maya
- Strong understanding of general animation, character animation, and lip sync
- Rig Character Models and manipulate motion capture data
- Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas in a professional and positive manner
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure
- Encourage feedback and new initiatives
- Degree/diploma in animation or equivalent is an asset
- Must be an Ontario resident and eligible to work in Canada
