Overview:
We are HIRING! WildBrain is looking for a Harmony Builds Supervisor to join our (currently virtual) Vancouver studio! Working with the team on an undisclosed and exciting new Feature Quality Peanuts project, the Builds Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the technical and creative success of builds for the show. An in-depth understanding of Harmony combined with several years of builds/rigging experience is required.
We are currently working virtually because of the Covid-19 pandemic. During this time our hiring teams are ready to support interviews via video conferencing, and we are enabling artists to work from home until the studio can reopen. We’d love to hear from you! #stayhomestaysafe!
Responsibilities:
* Guide and develop a team of artists to create the requested style of character and prop builds for the production
* Formulate a plan to achieve deliverables and create efficiencies
* Collaborate with the Production team to proactively flag and problem-solve any potential issues
* Assign and review character and prop builds, and ensure revisions are completed as needed to uphold a high level of quality throughout the show
* Ensure the team is meeting assigned weekly quotas and expectations
* Ensure the builds work well for the rest of the animation pipeline
* Collaborate with other departments in a team environment
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of Harmony Builds experience on a high-profile series and/or feature
* Strong desire to mentor and coach a team of artists
* Strong, expressive drawing skills
* You are technically inclined and solution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
* You are organized and manage time effectively to meet individual and team deadlines
* You communicate in a professional and positive manner
Bonus:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or lead position is a definite asset
* Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school
