2D Harmony FX Animator
Where: Toronto, Ontario

An animator on our comedy series will be responsible for the design, look and feel of any special effects required during the animation process. FX animators will work with senior artists and the series creator to make sure that effects are smoothly integrated into the series, matching the tone and style of the show and creating exciting dramatic moments within the series. This production spans a wide variety of genres, so be prepared for everything from tornado storms, to lava flows, laser battles and pan dimensional wormholes. FX animators will be assigned specific episodes, however they will be expected to work together and support one another to make sure that each episode is delivered on time and at a high level of quality.
What we are looking for in a 2D FX Animator:
•A thorough understanding of Toon Boom Harmony, the camera, drawing and node views. Knowledge of effects nodes is a huge plus.
•1+ years working on FX animation in a studio setting, or an impressive portfolio of personal or freelance FX work.
•Willingness to receive feedback on your work at all levels of completion and the ability to quickly and properly implement any notes received.
•The FX animators will need to work with the character animators to make sure that any FX animation is properly implemented into the scene. Communication with your teammates and superiors will be key.
•FX animators who are able to double as character animators when needed are very valuable to LMP!
•LMP! Is looking for personally accountable individuals who are able to self-manage their time and resources to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
•Must be a resident of Ontario. Canadian citizen or have permanent resident status.
Look Mom! Productions, a Blue Ant Media company, is a Toronto-based animation studio producing compelling, creator-driven animated content for teens and adults.
