Job Description: Mercury Filmworks® is looking for an enthusiastic Rigging Supervisor. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated artist who will work with modelling & animation supervisors to produce highly technical, quality rigs for all characters, sets and props. This artist must be attuned to the needs of a production pipeline and those of the animators we support. This is a supervisor, multi-faceted position that leads by example and is able to mentor younger animators as well as motivate the team to achieve excellence.
Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience rigging characters, sets and props in Maya (software)
  • Knowledge of character pipeline and workflow techniques
  • Proficiency in technical problem solving
  • Experience with leading a team and supervising
  • Knowledge of layout, modeling, rigging, simulations, animation tools and workflows currently used in the industry
