GENERAL

Manage the Visual FX department with respect to budgets, human resources, curriculum planning and assist with its promotion to potential students. Instruct as required to meet current budget goals.

REPORTS TO:  General Manager/President, VP Faculty

DUTIES

Provide input where necessary to maintain high industry standards for curriculum.
Manage department within set budgets.
Report instructor hours to accounting for payroll biweekly.
Recommend books and DVD’s for library.
Instruct as required within department.
Organize guest speakers and graduation ceremonies.
Attend meeting for the purpose of on-going planning and curriculum development.
Participate in promotional and industry networking activities as required.
Assist with new student auditions.

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Minimum of 5 years industry and/or teaching experience.
Working knowledge in visual effects software such as Maya, Shake or Nuke as well as Word and Excel
Ability to work effectively with others (people oriented).
Strong communication skills.
Highly organized and team player.
Energetic.
Previous management experience, project or personnel, a plus
