Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description:
Testing video games for functionality and usability, keeping track of issues and managing bugs database.

Type:   Permanent full-time employee
Salary:   Salary based on experience plus Medical/Dental benefits

Responsibilities:
• Accurate hands on testing of assigned area

• Work well with the team to ensure a proper understanding of the issues and how to reproduce them

• Use a proactive, problem-solving approach to detect and solve problems

• Execution of functionality and compliance test cases

• Performing test case creation when needed

• Master and know the game entirely

• Develop QA process and ensure best practices of QA procedures

• Communicate with team to identify problems and potential solutions

• Provide ongoing feedback on gameplay and difficulty

• Create written reports of the tests issued

• Test game performance on different devices to ensure compatibility and compliancy

 

Essential Skills & Experience:
• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Prior mobile device game testing experience

• Maintain, update and ensure accurate information is present in bug databases

• Ability to notice errors or problems

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

• Passion for the industry and an understanding of market trends and styles

• Strong oral and written communication skills (English)

• Ability to work well with a team, but also organized and independent

• Ability to work within a schedule and budget

• Capable of self-management and managing priorities to meet deadlines

• Highly motivated and passionate about interaction designs and games

• Understanding of the game development process

 

Pluses:
• Prior experience in a well-known mobile title or AAA titles are a significant asset

• Knowledge in media (games, comics, film, etc.)

• Knowledge of Unity 3D engine
