Interactive Media Producer

Type: Full-Time Employee
Salary: $60,000 – $78,000. Medical/Dental, 2-3 weeks vacation (neg), company RRSP plan.

Start Date: June 1 – August 1, 2011

We are currently seeking an experienced full-time Interactive Media Producer. The successful individual will be responsible for all aspects of the in-house development team – ensuring the project is delivered to the client on time and on budget. This person must have a strong technical production background.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the creation and volume production of creative applications (apps) that will be built across multiple technology platforms (e.g. Apple, Android, Intel, and RIM)
• Manage growth of production pipeline through ramp up phase.
• Ongoing review of existing production pipeline with respect to efficiency and quality of output.
• Liaise between the creative production, technical development group and the client.
• Create project plans and project briefs that include high-level creative and technical application requirements
• Spec’ing new positions. Hiring and managing production artists and staff.
• Lead  and manage a high-performance team work environment
• Managing and reporting on the production budget (cost reporting).

Requirements:

• Exceptional management and leadership skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 3 years of related industry experience as a Production Manager or Producer in a high tech environment.
• Experience in developing, modifying  and implementing new project management processes
• Experience managing a team of 15+ employees.
• Experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial or start-up environment
• Basic knowledge of intuitive UI principles.
• An artistic sensibility and innate understanding of what makes a pleasurable user experience.
• Functional knowledge of Adobe CS applications.
