1) CHARACTER DESIGNER

Guru studio, the award winning and internationally renowned animation facility in Toronto is looking for a talented Character Designer, to develop unique character while defining and contributing to the look of a brand new 3D preschool television series for an international broadcaster.

 

Responsibilities:

–       Work with Director and Production Designer to illustrate characters and assets in the style of the show and provide designs for funpacks.

–       Develop detailed character turnarounds from rough concept art

–       Create and update pose sheets

–       Provide additional design support such as creating props when needed

 

Qualities and Qualifications:

–       You must be an outstanding character artist with a strong sense of the fundamentals of 3D modeling.

–       Excellent drawing and animation skills.

–       Ability to draw animals, as well as humans

–       Understanding of the basics of 3D animation

–       Previous experience an asset.

–       Works well under pressure

2) STORYBOARD ARTIST

Guru studio, the award winning and internationally renowned animation facility in Toronto is looking for a Storyboard Artist to join our team on an upcoming 3D preschool television series for an international broadcaster.


Responsibilities:

–       Clarify and illustrate story points

–       Pitch sequences to the Director

–       Work closely with the Director to ensure all notes are addressed

–       Solve story and structure problems

 Qualities and Qualifications:

–       Experience with a digital workflow is necessary

–       Excellent posing abilities

–       Must be highly creative, with the ability to work within tight deadlines

–       Must have a strong portfolio

–       Storyboard experience in preschool is an asset

–       Minimum of 2 years experienced is required

3) STORYBOARD REVISION ARTIST

Guru studio, the award winning and internationally renowned animation facility in Toronto is looking for a Storyboard Revision Artist to join our team on an upcoming 3D preschool television series for an international broadcaster.

Responsibilities:

–       Redraw panels under director’s note quickly and efficiently

–       Follow instructions as per the notes and discussions

–       Communicate progress of work to director, assistant director and production team

–       Ensure quality and style of the show is consistently achieved in storyboard work

–       Meet all deadlines

 Qualities and Qualifications:

–       Excellent drawing and composition skills

–       Solid knowledge of story, including language, acting and craft

–       Must be able to work fast and efficiently

–       Must work digitally

–       Minimum of 2 years experienced is required.
