Position: Assistant Director
Cookie Jar Entertainment in our Toronto office is seeking an experienced Assistant Director to join our team on the preschool series “Ella the Elephant”.
Position Responsibilities:
- Revising and drawing storyboard panels for animatics
- Following direction as per notes and discussions from the series Director
- Ensuring quality and style of the series is consistently achieved
- Solving Story and Structure problems
- Refining Acting where required
- Supervising a storyboard revision team
- Working with Animatic Editor to lock animatics in a timely manner
- Communicating progress to the series Producer and Director
- Communicating with the Production Coordinator to ensure timely delivery of revisions to Director and Animatic Editor
Position Qualifications:
- Proficient in working digitally in Sketchbook Pro
- Experience in preschool is an asset
- Must be willing to work in house
- Excellent drawing and composition skills
- Must hold a solid work ethic and meet deadlines with the need to work quickly when necessary
- Previous experience as an Assistant Director mandatory
- Minimum of 2 years experience is required
