Come be among the first join our team of 45 2D digital artists (Toonboom/Flash) now in production on a ground breaking new design driven comedy drama series with an epic storyline!

A variety of crew positions available and a promising future with Guru’s newly minted 2D animation division.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with production Designer and design team to develop a consistent look for the show Contribute substantially and decisively to the evolution of the show design
Conceptualize, create and maintain detailed design documentation throughout the project cycle. Evolve ideas in conjunction with a team and assign work to your design team

Assist design colleagues to bring the project in as planned.
Mentor design colleagues and level artists. Provide guidance, feedback, or instruction to those individuals that enhance their work. This includes reviewing scripts/storyboard etc. Demonstrate commitment to creative collaboration in a time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications:

Excellent drawing and design skills (strong knowledge of anatomy and posing and fashion an asset)
Candidate needs to be flexible and be able to design backgrounds, props, character, wardrobe etc both conceptual and production ready art.

Experience with Photoshop and Illustrator – knowledge of other art/graphics software an asset. Experience with pixel-art and image optimization.
Excellent creativity and demonstrated ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas.
Ability to productively discuss, make decisions, and communicate ideas in a wide variety of aesthetic areas (backgrounds, characters, wardrobe, props etc

Have an intuitive sense of what makes a character appealing and appropriate for the needs of the design.
Experience building characters and posing in Flash
Able to design within certain specifications (maintaining pre-determined proportions and keeping within an overall look)
