Ricochet Productions, a commercial postproduction, visual effects and animation studio in Toronto is looking for an experienced Motion Graphics Designer for a 6-month contract job at our downtown facilities.
General hours are Mon-Fri, 9-5. Additional hours and weekend work may be required depending on the workload.
This position is for a highly creative and talented designer that can create 2D or 2.5D type treatments and animations for supers, end-tags, and mnemonics.
Requirements/Skills:
Design Skills:
– must have a great sense of visual aesthetic
– must be able to adapt to many different creative styles and provide solutions accordingly
– must be able to work independently and provide multiple solutions with little or no creative direction
General Skills:
– Typesetting
– Type design
– Layout design
– After Effects animation
Production Skills:
– Able to work within a fast-paced creative team environment
– Able to cooperatively problem solve and share solutions
– Able to take direction and adapt to constant changes in creative execution
– Must be efficient, fast and require minimal supervision
– Must be organized and handle files efficiently
– Must be able to cope with the pressure of handling multiple tasks simultaneously
– Must be willing to adapt to requirements of facility workflows and pipeline
– Must be willing to learn new software
Technical:
– Proficient in After Effects, Illustrator,Photoshop, In Design
– Working knowledge of Autodesk Maya is a big plus
