Summary:
The successful applicant will work closely with the Director of Technology to ensure that all IT equipment/software is functioning efficiently, enabling staff members to do their jobs as efficiently as possible. As a member of the IT team at BRON, you will be exposed to all areas of IT including Desktop Support, Server Administration, Security, Network, System planning and architecture . . .
Responsibilities:
- Provide hardware and software support for all users on Windows, Linux and MAC OSX platforms
- Create new machine builds and perform software installations
- Maintain images of current workstation builds (Linux, Windows and MAC)
- Maintain Hardware, Software and License Inventory lists
- Administer User accounts
- Perform Network administration tasks
- Perform Phone System Administration tasks
- Perform Backup Administration tasks
- Other System Administration Tasks that may be necessary
- Documentation of internal IT procedures
- Work with the Director of Technology on planning the company’s future IT needs
Requirements:
- 3 -5 years of experience in a Desktop Support/Sysadmin role, preferably in the Media and Entertainment Industry, working with Windows, Linux and MAC OSX
- Certification in Linux, MAC and/or Windows System Administration
- Good understanding of file compression, FTP and Digital Delivery applications
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Linux bash scripting and/or python scripting experience
- Availability to work after hours and weekends if and when required
- Good troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of Industry Standard Software – Autodesk and Adobe product lines, some knowledge of the Foundry product line would also be preferred
