Summary:

The successful applicant will work closely with the Director of Technology to ensure that all IT equipment/software is functioning efficiently, enabling staff members to do their jobs as efficiently as possible. As a member of the IT team at BRON, you will be exposed to all areas of IT including Desktop Support, Server Administration, Security, Network, System planning and architecture . . .

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hardware and software support for all users on Windows, Linux and MAC OSX platforms
  • Create new machine builds and perform software installations
  • Maintain images of current workstation builds (Linux, Windows and MAC)
  • Maintain Hardware, Software and License Inventory lists
  • Administer User accounts
  • Perform Network administration tasks
  • Perform Phone System Administration tasks
  • Perform Backup Administration tasks
  • Other System Administration Tasks that may be necessary
  • Documentation of internal IT procedures
  • Work with the Director of Technology on planning the company’s future IT needs

Requirements:

  • 3 -5 years of experience in a Desktop Support/Sysadmin role, preferably in the Media and Entertainment Industry, working with Windows, Linux and MAC OSX
  • Certification in Linux, MAC and/or Windows System Administration
  • Good understanding of file compression, FTP and Digital Delivery applications
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Linux bash scripting and/or python scripting experience
  • Availability to work after hours and weekends if and when required
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of Industry Standard Software – Autodesk and Adobe product lines, some knowledge of the Foundry product line would also be preferred
