Storyboard Revisionist
Want to work with an Epic group of people? Look no further than Epic Story Media! We are currently seeking experienced Storyboard Revisionists to join our team. This position will be for a 3D animated children’s show.
As a Storyboard Revisionist, you’ll work from the Directors notes to enhance storytelling and fix problematic sequences in a board. Aside from first-rate drawing skills, you’ll need speed, the ability to take and interpret direction, and a knack for adding great poses and expressions to punch up specific scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discuss and implement necessary changes to boards
- Follow direction given in notes and discussions to revise boards to production expectations
- Be aware of the series/show’s continuity, and ensure the style and quality of the production is consistently met in board work
- Communicate progress or issues with Board Artists and Supervisors, to ensure all deadlines are met
- Assist with and complete production-related assignments
- Keep current on storyboarding techniques and technology
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of relevant storyboard revisionist experience within the animation industry
- Strong drawing skills with the ability to produce visually appealing artwork
- Highly skilled using Toon Boom Storyboard Pro
- Strong drawing skills and sense of design, character, and composition, with emphasis on humour and expressions
- Strong sense of acting and timing
- Ability to organize and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle feedback and constructive criticism well
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- High degree of focus, with the ability to concentrate on one concept for long periods of time
- Working knowledge of cinematography, composition, film structure, and screen direction
