Best of OIAF 2008 at the Shanghai, Ottawa

If you’re in Ottawa at the end of the month, and looking to sate your appetite for both independent animation and tasty dumplings, here’s the place to be:

The Best of Ottawa 2008 at Shanghai Restaurant

On Thursday, September 24, 8:30 pm to 11:00 pm, join festival staff at Shanghai Restaurant (651 Somerset St, W) for a screening of the Best of Ottawa 2008. Bring your friends, order up some delicious dishes (the dumplings are, according to some, not to be missed), have a cocktail and sit back to enjoy the screening. This is your last chance to see this in Ottawa!

Don’t forget: It’s almost time for the 2009 Festival!

Animation Six-Packs (6 tickets for the price of 5) will be available that night for $50 each (cash only). New this year, the Animation Six-Pack allows you to skip the ticket-buyer’s line-up and enjoy passholder priority at all screenings. This is a great one to recommend to friends who, unlike you, don’t want to buy a full festival pass, but still want to join you for a few screenings.

Of course, for the die-hard festival fan, you’re still going to want to buy your full Animapass, which gives you access to all screenings, workshops, parties (including the Animators Picnic), and includes a Festival Reader and Delegate bag. For only $200.00, you get five days of animation excitement and a couple of great souvenirs.

Weekend and day passes are also available.

For details about the 2009 Festival, purchasing tickets and passes, and all of the other fun and interesting stuff we have planned, please see our website at:
