Anyone who’s paying attention will see a couple of small changes here on the site. Apart from some cosmetic tweaking (we widened the page), I’d like to draw your attention to the menu bar at the top.

I announced yesterday that the showcase page is now active, and yep, there it is. There are still a few kinks to be worked out over there, but for now it will be a standard blog page, like the job board, where I will be posting films from Canadian animators and production houses. The films will all be embedded from YouTube or Vimeo (or whatever other service whose codes will work). You’ll have to click on the individual listings to get to the films, as I can’t yet sort out having them show up on the front page. If you’re looking for a specific film, just type it into our search bar and see if you come up lucky. I’ll be sure to include the title and creator for reference.

Next is the Canadian Animation Directory. It’s been active for a while now as a standalone site, but I’ve finally got our link up and running. If you’re looking for production companies, talent, distributors, etc, go there first. It’s a pretty comprehensive listing for the Canadian community. The directory is produced and maintained by the Ottawa International Animation Festival.

Hope you find it useful!
