profile: Neptoon Studios – Todd Kauffman & Mark Thornton

Last updated on August 30, 2010

Well, I’m not sure if these are less work than transcribing, but it’s way more fun! Got another podcast for you guys, an interview with non-other than the directors and designers of TOTAL DRAMA ISLAND seasons 1 & 2. That’s right, Todd Kauffman and Mark Thornton of Neptoon Studios joins us.

These two have set a fine example of how to turn professional lemons into lemonade. But I’ll let them tell you about it.

AND in this episode – our VERY FIRST CONTEST! You could win by being the first commenter in this post with the correct answer to ‘Name That Tune’. Catch it at the end of the interview. And you’ll need Google, I’d bet.

*EDIT – CONTEST CLOSED, we have a winner!*

As always, downloading the m4a direct link & playing it in iTunes will show you snazzy visuals and provide links to the sites mentioned.

Posted below is the artwork the guys provided for all to see, and below that is a list of MORE Toronto-based animation artist types showing this weekend at the FanExpo in Toronto. Hope you enjoy it!

Enough talk! We listen.

Canadian Animation Radio Ep. 2 – Neptoons Studios

Fantastic interview, Warren. You make a great commentator and host, and the comments from Todd and Mark were truly inspirational. Big thumbs up!

Great interview. Neptoons does great work and it looks like they are on a roll. Kauffman and Thornton seem like really cool guys too. I am also a big Krofft fan so I really dig the HR Pufnstuf stuff. Hope it all grows into something massive.

I think the answer to the contest is Fake Shark – Real Zombie! playing the song Avril Kadaver.
