All over the country, the next crop of wannabe animators are swallowing their nervous bile and preparing to embark on the job hunt. The first step is usually the “open house”. Algonquin College in Ottawa is breaking theirs into two parts this year, the first is a Studio Day, which we mentioned a while back. It’s this Wednesday, April 25th. That’s where you recruiters out there can go and check them out without friends and family cluttering up your space. After that is a more general open house, or “Gradshow” for those friends and family who would’ve been doing the aforementioned cluttering. That one’s on Friday, April 27th, from 1 to 5. I’m going!
