from the internets: Rainmaker announces sale to Xing Xing Digital

Two days after announcing that Catherine Winder will step down as president and executive producer on June 30, Rainmaker has revealed it’s selling its animation studio to Beijing-based animation company Xing Xing Digital.

No announcements as to how this will affect day to day operations.  Kidscreen has more complete coverage here:

    Wow that is interesting to see a Chinese company buying out a big Canadian animation company. I worked briefly at Xing Xing in Beijing before. The CEO did his university studies in Vancouver.
