press release: TAAFI 2014 Call for Submissions NOW OPEN!!!



TORONTO, Ontario (October 15, 2013) – The 3rd Annual Toronto Animation Arts Festival International – (TAAFI), is pleased to announce the opening for the 2014 Call For Submissions. This year’s Festival not only accepts animated shorts and feature length films but also encourages submissions of visual effects projects, commercials, game trailers/cinematics, motion graphics projects, as well as non-traditional animated arts content.

Submissions are free before December 15, 2014 and will remain open until January 15, 2014. Chosen by a committee of experts, official selection films will be eligible for awards in: Audience Choice, Best International Short, Best Canadian Short, Best Student Short and the coveted Grand Prix.

Toronto Animation Arts Festival International – TAAFI celebrates and explores the world of animation arts across a wide range of styles from all across the globe. The 2012 festival showcased over 100 short films from all over the world, including Grand Prix winner dir. Rony Hotin (Le Vagabond De Saint Marcel – France, 2013), and welcomed almost 100 speakers over the course of the three day festival. TAAFI 2014 will be held Mid June, 2014 at the TIFF Bell Lightbox and Corus Quay in spectacular downtown Toronto.
